When asked to make penguin cupcakes for a girls birthday, I remembered a picture I saw in a cupcake decorating book. But I wanted to be a little more original than that! I just watched Happy Feet the other day and all I could think about was them sliding down the mountian. These little guys are made out of fondant that I colored black. The birthday girl requested red velvet cake... something I have never made or even tried myself. I made it from scratch using a Martha Stewart recipe, then cream cheese frosting and coconut to make it look like snow. I wish I had made an extra one to try myself!
